About ‘WEEN DREAM
In 2012, the founder of ‘WEEN DREAM started a Halloween costume donation program through the New Orleans nonprofit, Youth Empowerment Program. Within a few years of starting the program, she had an oversupply of costumes without enough kids to give them to. She decided she needed to start a nonprofit to help even more kids, both in New Orleans and across the US. ‘WEEN DREAM became official in 2014! Last year, the organization distributed over 1,500 costumes to kids in 25 states.
Why We Love ‘WEEN DREAM
The Halloween industry can be very wasteful and expensive, especially for families. We love ‘WEEN DREAM because the all-volunteer run nonprofit helps connect kids in need to donated and used costumes…all for free! They even provide new costumes to kids who need them for medical reasons. The organization has been killing it year after year. This year, they distributed costumes to kids in 30 states!
